At Xponential Battery Materials (XBM), we are on a circular economy mission to drive the discovery of transformational advanced battery materials through pioneering sustainable battery technology solutions using abundant low-cost industrial waste byproducts.
XBM was established in 2020 by the same winning team from California Lithium Battery with a proven track record in developing advanced NextGen LIB materials. Our executive team blends decades of business and science expertise in advanced battery technology research and development, industrial engineering and commercial production scale up.
For the past four years, the focus at XBM has been to further refine the CarbonX technology platform to produce the most sustainable commercially viable, very high capacity, extended-life Li-S cathode active material (CAM) using biomass-derived porous carbon infused with sulfur and metal catalyst. Ongoing work also encompasses designing and testing NextGen battery cells that combine 3rd party solid-state electrolytes with compatible li-metal and Si-C anodes.
